Hysteroscopy, D&C, Endometrial Ablation, Insertion/Removal of Mirena IUD.

Hysteroscopy is a procedure that allows your doctor to look inside the uterus in order to diagnose and treat causes of abnormal bleeding. It is done using a hysteroscope, a thin, lighted tube that is put into the vagina to examine inside the cervix and uterus.

Dilation and curettage (D&C), is a procedure to sample tissue from inside your uterus. It is done to diagnose and treat certain uterine conditions. 

Mirena IUD is a small T-shaped intrauterine device put into the uterus that releases the progesterone hormone 'levonorgestrel'. It is most commonly used for long-term birth control or heavy bleeding and the effects are completely reversible. The IUD is either put into or removed from the uterus by your doctor.
