Laparoscopy is an operation performed in the abdomen or pelvis to aid diagnosis or medical interventions.

Operative Laparoscopy.

An operative Laparoscopy can by used to remove a cyst, remove tubes or ovaries, remove endometriosis  or to perform a hysterectomy.

Small cuts are made in the abdomen and a small camera and surgical instruments are inserted into the abdomen, the surgeon performs the operation while looking at the image on a screen.
