Billing policy
This practice is a non-bulk billing practice and payment is required at the time of consultation. Medicare claims are processed on the patients behalf, for all eligible Medicare card holders. Patients will be advised of the fees and rebate information when scheduling an appointment. Depending on what services are recommended during your consultation, there may be other costs associated with your visit. You will be informed of the additional costs before the service is provided to you.
For surgical procedures, Dr Weekes is a ‘known-gap’ provider, your health fund will cover majority of the costs associated with your procedure however there will be a gap. Dr Weekes utilises online claiming facilities, taking the stress out of claiming for patients by working directly with Medicare & Health Funds.
Please be aware, that there are other out of pocket expenses associated with your procedure (e.g. hospital excess, Anaesthetist & Surgical Assistant). An estimate of costs will be provided, and your informed financial consent is required in writing prior to your procedure.
Fees associated with a procedure is required one week prior to your surgery.
